In Level 1 Reiki students are given a strong foundation of advanced self-care. The very beginning step is self-practice, meaning practicing reiki on oneself, which brings the physical body into alignment with the energy of physical wholeness. The fundamentals of Reiki are hand positions, symbols and attunements. The symbols and attunements are progressive and transformative, increasing in strength and capacity as the student advances. In Level 1, students are attuned and connected to Source Energy, and may perform healing on self and others.

In Level 2, students receive symbols that are 4 times the strength of the symbols given in Level 1 Reiki. These symbols are given to support our mental and emotional bodies, bringing them into alignment. We deepen the student’s understanding of the four lower bodies which progress in density in this order: etheric/memory, mental, emotional, and physical.
The emphasis is on adjusting the etheric body and further opening the third eye or sixth chakra (pineal gland). This can heighten one’s intuitive abilities, and assists in waking the further dimensions of one’s Higher Self. It is at the etheric level that assistance and support is given to overcome the effects of trauma, stress, addictions and depression.
In Level 2 Reiki one strengthens the ability to connect with one’s future self and may send Reiki energy to oneself at a future time and place.

In Level 3, the student is given the third and final attunement, the Master Level attunement. The student is fully connected with the healing energy of the universe through a download that is 4 times the strength of the attunement given in Level 2. Emphasis is on assisting the student to open the crown chakra, one of the main gateways of light into the human physical form.

You may not know or realize it, but you want to meditate–it will make your life better. Meditating will make your relationship with every day saner. Meditation won’t necessarily make every day great, or put you in bliss, or fix your problems. Meditation can help you deal with stress, anxiety, pain, depression, grief, anger, and sadness. Meditation helps you remain centered in your life regardless of how crazy the world is around you.
Meditating will help you relate to your moods and states of mind, other people, and problems of any kind with more cool, calm, and collectedness. We can still be triggered by challenging situations, but the way we respond, our reactions change. If we want to bring more sanity into each of our days then we want to be meditating.
This comes as a special invitation to our Three Treasures Ritual at Pu Lin Buddhist Temple. You will receive a visual, a transmission of energy, a mantra, a mudra (hand position) followed by an explanation. (A mantra embodies the momentum of all who have ever given it.) We begin at 7pm. with a delicious vegetarian meal. We finish Friday no later than 10pm. A donation of $20 is requested for receiving Three Treasures.
Add 3 more tools to your tool chest when you receive Three Treasures and come under a new-found protection. Having been raised Catholic, I am delighted to learn of this down-to-earth, “rubber meets the road” Eastern approach to Ascension. Accelerating our spiritual progress is one benefit of receiving the Three Treasures and exploring wisdom teachings at the Dharma gathering Saturday and Sunday.
Pu-Lin Temple is located at 3004 South Mendenhall between Cottonwood and Knight Arnold at the corner of Derron and South Mendenhall. There is a two story statue of Buddha in the front yard along with a one story statue of Mother Kwan Yin.
The weekend of Friday, December 17 and Saturday, the 18th and Sunday the 19th is designed to nourish, educate and empower us as we come together with like-minded people. We will learn tools to become a more effective change agent for our loved ones, our community and beyond.
